Hey friend hey! I’m Shelly, really Michelle, but no one calls me that! My children’s books (The Fairy’s Money Secret series) say Michelle Young on Amazon, so sometimes that confuses people! But to my friends, I go by Shelly!

To be honest, it’s super hard when people ask me to write a BIO for speaking engagements and podcasts! But here it goes! I’m an enneagram 3, mom to 4 beautiful curly haired kiddos, wife to a restaurant guru (we co-own restaurants in South Carolina). I use to be super type A before kids, but after kiddo 3, who was a boy, I learned I needed to relax a lot! I homeschool and have for 13 plus years! Yikes! It’s why underneath my extensions, I’m mostly gray in the front! :)

Can I be real here? I was the unlikely person to speak, write books, create apps, design planners, and create a financial system to help women, families, kids! I dropped out of college 3 credits shy of graduating because I got pregnant with my daughter out of wedlock and thought my life was over! BUT GOD! Years later, God redeemed our story, I got married to my baby daddy, and GOD saved and baptized our entire family! God took this unlikely gal who just wanted a way out of debt, and wanted more for my kids, who failed so many times, and HE gave me the wisdom and tools to create a life changing finance program, apps, books, planners, and more! BUT GOD!

I was in debt, depressed, anxious, and didn’t think there was hope! BUT GOD! Through tons of therapy, and tons of work, reading, books, courses, and great mentors, I was able to pay off over $65,000 worth of debt, invest for the future, and create a life we envisioned through the power of Jesus!

I’m proof IT IS POSSIBLE! So friend, if you’re here now, can I just say, you’re here for a reason, and that GOD HAS MORE FOR YOU! I was a college dropout, who felt depressed and hopeless! BUT GOD! Now we live somewhere in South Carolina, own several restaurants, and we are able to live and give back to our community! God had a plan! Now, I’m a certified life and finance coach helping women and families! BUT GOD! Now I get to speak to women and families and help them win with money!
