20 Bible Verses to Pray over Your Finances (Copy)

I remember getting that fateful call. I heard something different in his voice. He seemed eerily calm, but his voice sounded different. “I think they are trying to let me go. I think I’m going to get laid off. I feel something. Something feels off,” my husband stated. I remember walking outside of our home. Our first home we purchased together. Our only home our kids had known. We had lived in this home for 7 years, and the thought of losing it terrified me. I didn’t communicate any of these thoughts to my husband. I remained calm. I listened, and then when we hung up our call, I instantly prayed. We had experienced God’s hand in our lives so much. We had seen God move saving my husband six years prior, and moving mountains in our relationship and family. But unemployment with four mouths to feed, one who was under 1, it was SCARY! We had lived on ONE INCOME for our entire relationship, and my side hustle never paid bills. Unemployment. That fateful day brought about 9 months of unemployment that forever changed the way we saw God and how we prayed over our family and ultimately our finances! So here’s 20 bible verses to pray over your finances!

20 Bible Verses to Pray over Your Finances

1. Psalm 37:3-4 “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

2.Psalm 37:5-6 “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.  He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”

3. Psalm 37:34 “Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land;”

4.Psalm 37:39 “But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble.”

5. Psalm 68:19 “Blessed be the Lord who DAILY loads us with BENEFITS, the God of our salvation.”

6. Psalm 70:5  “You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay.”

7. Psalm 91:4 “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge;”

8. Psalm 91:15 “He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”

9. Psalm 91:7 “A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.”

10. Psalm 91: 9-13 “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall read upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.”

Before we go to the 11th scripture, I want you to take a look at the above picture. This was a few weeks before we opened our 2nd restaurant in Camden, SC. We were sitting down, eating with our boys, at our first restaurant Eggs Up Grill Killian! We were laid off Feb 2016, and a year and a half later, God opened a door for us to partner with some amazing partners to open our very own restaurant Eggs Up Grill! A restaurant we did not think possible. But through our unemployment, God taught us to pray big, BELIEVE BIG, EXPECT MIRACLES from God! And so we did! And through the power of Jesus, we opened our very first restaurant with our partners December 2018 and a year later we opened Eggs Up Grill Camden March 2020. But God! God used our unemployment to teach us, to humble us, to build us, to grow us, and then he promoted us! Not because we were worthy, but because of God’s goodness, mercy, and favor toward us! He is worthy! Not us! We are just the vessels. So no matter what you are facing today because of the Coronavirus, can you pray big prayers over your finances, and believe that God is going to use this time to grow and prosper you! Now, I don’t believe in the prosperity doctrine, but I believe in the power of Jesus and He is faithful to His promises to you! So let’s believe in those and pray those over our lives today!

11. Psalm 81:7  “You called in trouble, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder;”

12. Psalm 81:10 “iI am the Lord your God, who brought you out of he land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it!”

13. Psalm 67:1 “God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us.”

14. Psalm 67:5-7 “Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.”

15.Psalm 46: 1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed.”

16. Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus

17.Genesis 22:15-18 “15 And the angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven 16 and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his[a] enemies, 18 and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”

18. Luke 6:38 “38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

19. Malachi 3:10 “10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

20. Psalm 46:7-11 “The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; he burns the chariot in the fire. Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge!”

Now I need you to take it a step further with these scriptures! I need for you to write one of these scriptures on a notecard and post it somewhere you can see it. And I need for you to pray that scripture over your finances today! Believing that God hears you, believing that God is moving mountains in your finances! So do that now and start praying right now! God will move mountains in your finances! Let’s believe his promises for us today!

Until next time friend,

Shelly
